It’s finally starting to feel like the time of year when we can go outside some days without a coat or jacket on. At this time in Spring, I love basic sweatshirts and hoodies as pieces to style for going out in the daytime, as they’re comfy and casual whilst also being perfect for the transitional weather. Over the past year I’ve added more loungewear items to my wardrobe and I wanted to be able to wear them out and about too. I’ve shared two ways to style sweatshirts and hoodies for the Spring, perfect for daytime walks or trips to the shops.
For my first outfit, I wanted to style this cream hoodie that I got from Pull&Bear via ASOS, as I just love the neutral colour for Spring. The hoodie is quite thin material so can still be worn on a warmer day and is ideal for layering up if the weather looks like it could turn chillier. Here, I wore the hoodie with ripped jeans from ASOS and my Converse, as the colour matches them perfectly. This is one of those outfits that can be worn on repeat as it’s comfy for everyday wear, and I chose to wear these ripped jeans to make the most of my whole wardrobe.
My second outfit is a pink Spring/Summer basic sweatshirt that I bought from H&M last year as I wanted something long sleeved but lightweight. You really can’t go wrong with pastels for Spring, so the colour is again ideal for this time of year. Here, I simply paired the sweatshirt with black jeans, also from H&M, and pink trainers from Pull&Bear. This is definitely more an outfit for warmer Spring days because of the thin material of the sweatshirt, but it can still be layered up as a t-shirt works fine underneath. I found a lovely similar pink sweatshirt on H&M that says ‘smile’ in small letters, and at just £9.99 it’s a brilliant price too.
I think basics like this sweatshirt and hoodie are a must for the Spring when the weather can be unpredictable, especially when venturing out during the day. There are so many lovely basics on H&M, ASOS and Pull&Bear right now, all at affordable prices if you’re looking to add to your Spring wardrobe!
