Orange Stripy Trousers

by notsomousybrown

One of my style goals for this year was to try not to wear jeans all the time. Summer is the perfect time to branch out with my outfits – most jeans are definitely not the best choice when it’s really hot. Orange has never been my favourite colour but, after finding these stripy trousers, I can’t get enough of it! I ordered these online and took a bit of a risk as I wasn’t sure whether I’d like them or not. Now I can’t stop wearing them and the trousers have become one of my favourite summer wardrobe pieces.

Apart from loving the rustic colours on these trousers, they are really loose fitting, which is exactly what I needed for the summer. What I didn’t realise at first is that the trousers are high-waisted so they are super comfortable and have a really nice shape. I love the stretchy waist on these too, and the material is lovely and soft whilst being thin enough to wear on the hottest of days.

I picked up this dark orange vest top from New Look recently and it works perfectly with the trousers. This has to be one of the comfiest outfits I have for the summer and I think it can work for both the daytime and night. My rope sandals from Pull&Bear pair well with the trousers, but I’ve also worn them with my cream Converse for a more casual look. In short, the trousers are really versatile and can be worn for lots of different occasions.

On the day of posting this, these orange stripy trousers are in the sale on Pull&Bear here (50% off!) at just £9.99, which I think is a brilliant price! My rope sandals, also from Pull&Bear, can be found here for £39.99 and I would recommend loosening them before wearing them if you have wide feet like me. The vest top from New Look is here for just £7.99, and it comes in a few different colours which I think are all lovely for the summer. I’ve got my eye on the same vest in “off white” as it would go well with my trousers, as well as jeans, skirts and shorts for a relaxed, summery look!
