My 3 Essential Skincare Products In 2021 *

by notsomousybrown

Over the past year, I’ve really managed to narrow down which products I class as essential skincare for me. Whether that’s face, body or hands, there are a few products that I keep re-buying and always make sure I’m stocked up on. Knowing what works best for my skin is so important and using products that I love makes skincare enjoyable. I thought I’d share the 3 skincare products that have really made a difference to my skin, all of which I’d now say are essentials for me!

Essential Skincare

1 – Face: The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I wrote a full post about The Ordinary last year when I first tried out the brand, and nearly a year on this product is now a daily essential for me. The Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% formula has been a game changer for me when it comes to skincare, as I can’t quite believe how effective it’s been. I used to have quite a lot of blemish scarring on my face, as well as breakouts especially on my chin. The Ordinary has changed that and my skin has pretty much cleared up completely as a result of using this daily. It works well to stop breakouts from happening in the first place too, so it really is a product I wouldn’t be without! At just £5.00, it’s incredible value for money, so it’s definitely worth giving it a try if you haven’t yet.

Essential Skincare

2 – Body: Nivea Fresh Cucumber & Matcha Tea Body Mousse *

I’ve tried quite a few different body moisturisers recently, but this body mousse from Nivea has to be my favourite. I hadn’t tried a mousse before for moisturising and I love the lightweight consistency of it. The mousse absorbs so quickly into the skin which is brilliant for everyday moisturising. I notice that after using this mousse my skin continues to feel soft for a long time afterwards, and any dry skin is tackled instantly after using it. The cucumber and matcha tea scent is so refreshing and leaves skin with a natural scent that lingers long after moisturising. I’ll definitely be using Nivea’s mousses from now on to moisturise because of how quickly and effectively this one works to tackle dry skin and keep skin feeling soft all day.

Essential Skincare

3 – Hands: Dr Organic Manuka Honey Hand & Nail Cream

My hands can become very dry and sore at any time of year, so I need a hand cream I can rely on to tackle this. Dr Organic’s Manuka Honey Hand Cream is a product I’m always stocked up on because of the difference it can make to my hands. When they’re really dry and sore, the hand cream provides instant relief because of the active manuka honey in the cream. It works to restore skin and intensely moisturise hands, and I find that after using it my hands are a lot less sore. It works amazingly well to get rid of dry skin and using it daily helps to repair the skin on my hands – I wouldn’t be without it!

In terms of essential skincare, I’ve found 3 products that I love at prices that are really affordable. I’ve realised that skincare doesn’t have to be expensive if you find a product that works well. I would recommend all 3 of these products if you’re looking to change up your essential skincare and make it enjoyable rather than a chore!
