It has to be said that this outfit is more suited to those warmer Autumn days which we’ve been lucky enough to have just recently. There’s no reason why we can’t wear open-toed shoes and slightly summery shirts at this time of year before it gets too cold. I’m a sucker for stripes and, if you look in my wardrobe, you’ll find a lot of stripy t-shirts, jumpers and shirts. What caught my eye with this particular shirt is the bold stripes and loose fit, perfect as a transitional piece from Summer to Autumn.
Because of the colour and the pattern, I’ve found this shirt to be really versatile. It goes with just about any pair of jeans, my denim skirts and all of my shoes and boots. Also, because it’s quite long on me, I like to tie it at the front, but for colder days tucked in or out works well too.
Here, I’ve paired the shirt with high-waisted, ripped jeans from ASOS and my Pull&Bear grey wedges. I think blue denim works best with the shirt to bring out the bold colour of the stripes. The wedges go well with the outfit as part of a casual, evening look, but for colder Autumn days a pair of boots would be a better choice.
The great thing about this shirt is that it’s thin enough for a jacket or coat to go easily over the top, making it an ideal alternative to a jumper at this time of year. If you’re looking for a slightly more conventional Autumn colour, the shirt is also available with red stripes instead of blue (which I’m currently trying to resist buying).
At a reasonable £14.99, this shirt is definitely worth a buy! I’ve worn it so many times since I bought it with all sorts of different outfits and I think it would work in all seasons. The material is good quality and I know that it will last a long time. If you want to get your hands on this shirt, it can be found on Pull&Bear’s website here in both blue and red. With all the different ways it can be worn, I’d say it’s great value for money and won’t need to be hidden away once Winter arrives!
