Now we’re moving into the summer months and (hopefully) warmer days, it’s the perfect time of year for pretty, pink, pampering products. I’m always more motivated to use a wider range of beauty products over the summer to keep my skin feeling fresh and to try out new makeup. With that in mind, here’s my pick of pink products that I’ll be using this season, including some old favourites as well as recent buys.
Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf
Flowerbomb has always been my higher end perfume of choice. Its distinctive, floral scent is something which makes it stand out from the crowd. Without sounding cliché, the scent really does stay strong for a whole day, and the larger bottles can last for a year or more because of its staying power. The perfume’s pretty pink colour really says summer, and I’d definitely say it’s a worthy investment if you’re willing to spend a little extra.
Ted Baker Body Soufflé
I’m still loving the Ted Baker minis; perfect for popping in a suitcase as holiday season approaches. My skin can get very dry in the summer, so the Ted Baker Body Soufflé is a lovely little product for keeping skin feeling moisturised. Apart from smelling lovely, the body soufflé is light, non-greasy and kind to skin. Grab a larger pot of this product if you want it to last the whole season.
Neal’s Yard Wild Rose Hand Cream
Neal’s Yard skincare products never fail to disappoint and I’ve always been a fan of their moisturisers and hand creams. This wild rose scented hand cream is definitely my favourite yet, it simply smells beautiful. The distinct rose scent is just right for the summer and the cream works well to keep hands feeling smooth. Neal’s Yard always use quality, natural ingredients in their products and this hand cream melts into the skin without feeling greasy. Aside from the cream itself, the tube is so pretty and brightens up my dressing table.
Ciaté Liquid Velvet Lip Slick
Lip slicks aren’t something I would normally use, but I love the matte pink finish of this one. Ciaté’s pink lip slick is a lovely bright colour which holds on the lips really well. The consistency isn’t too thick and only a little needs to be applied to the lips to create the perfect matte lip look.
Lily Lolo Candy Floss Nail Varnish
Lily Lolo is one of my favourite beauty brands and I managed to grab a bargain with their nail varnish in Candy Floss (it was only £3 in the sale!) The shade is a very bright pink and would look great if you’re heading to the beach on a hot summer day. Because of the consistency of the varnish, just one coat does the trick, meaning that creating pretty pink nails doesn’t have to take you hours!
