It’s been what seems like a never-ending wait for Spring this year, hasn’t it. Now the temperature has finally reached double figures, it’s time to really look at my wardrobe for the Spring and Summer. I’m always drawn to pastel colours, but I noticed I was really lacking in pastels I’d actually want to wear. Thankfully though, I managed to find a Topshop bargain which I know I’ll be wearing a lot over the next few months.
I picked up this pastel pink vest, bracing myself for the usual above-average Topshop price. What I saw instead was £6, and there was no doubt then that I’d be buying it. I thought at first that it looked very small, but this vest is super stretchy and is a really nice fit. It goes really well under coats, cardigans and jackets, and works on its own too if we’re ever rewarded with a particularly hot day.
Another recent Spring wardrobe addition were these pinky nude trainers from Pull&Bear and, even though wearing them without socks is a no-go, I just love them. Their neutral colour means that they can be worn with just about any outfit, and are the perfect daytime, casual shoes for this time of year.
I’m always down for a bit of double denim, so I like to match the pinks with blue denim for a real Spring look. I think any lighter-coloured denim works really well with pastel pink or, for a casual, evening outfit, black jeans are another good match. All in all, this vest is really versatile and can be styled easily for different occasions and times of the day.
If you’re looking for a pop of pink to add to your wardrobe, Topshop have a pretty selection of pink tops for £6 here (move the price down to £6 and select pink to find lots that look like this one). At £25.99, the trainers are a little more expensive, but I know I’m going to get lots of wear out of them this Spring and Summer. You’ll find them on Pull&Bear’s website here, along with more summery trainers I’ve already got my eyes on!
