One of my goals for 2020 is to finish revamping my bedroom. I’ve recently started to change the colour scheme as I wanted to have more greys and pinks in the room. I love homeware and when I spot something that’ll work well in my room at a good price, I just can’t resist. Here are some of my favourite homeware pieces that I’ve bought recently and why I think they’re just right for my room revamp.
I’m a bit of a candle hoarder and always get drawn to them if I’m homeware shopping. These two candles by Sand + Fog were from TKMaxx at an amazing £2.99 each and were the perfect colours I was looking for. In scents “Limoncello” and “Ocean Mist”, these candles smell beautiful and bring a lovely scent to the room. I like that they’re in jars as keeping a lid on when they’re not burning keeps the candles clean. TKMaxx are always changing their stock so it’s worth popping into a store to see what deals you can find, or take a look at some of the candles online here.
One day I will be a person who can look after a real plant, but for now artificial is the way to go for me. Artificial plants not only look good in a room but also make great props for my blog photos too. The bigger plant and white pot are both from IKEA, with the lovely pink plant being just £3.00 (available here) – the ideal colour for my new look room. I bought the smaller plant a while ago from Sainsbury’s Home, and I love their collection of artificial plants. I can’t find my exact one, but there are lots of similar here!
The simple pattern and grey and white colours of my new bedding are exactly what I was looking for. Whilst the bedding in these photos is described as “pale green” by Debenhams, it definitely works with a grey colour scheme and I like that it’s not too dark and keeps the room looking bright. For a double bed, this duvet cover and 2 pillowcases set was £20.00 (available here), not a bad price for the good quality and cosy material of the bedding.
Something I’ve been wanting to add to my room for a while is photos, and I couldn’t believe how well this set of 3 photo frames matched the colours I was looking for. The frames are chunky and can stand up on their own on a shelf, or could be hung on the wall easily too. I like that they add a bit of colour and they’re easy to open and close to put photos inside. They’re a little on the expensive side at £18.00 for the set of 3 (available here), but the quality is excellent and they really do make photos stand out in a room.
I’m hoping I’ll be able to finish revamping my room soon and I think that these homeware items have all been lovely additions. I might have more of my favourite homeware items to share later on in the year so keep an eye out if you like finding well priced homeware like I do!
