Last Minute Stocking Fillers

by notsomousybrown

Even though Christmas Day is just around the corner, there might still be a few bits of Christmas shopping left to be done. I usually leave gift buying to the last minute and it can be tricky to find nice little presents for family or friends when there’s not much time left. With that in mind, I’ve picked out a few things that I think work brilliantly as stocking fillers or small Christmas gifts, perfect if you need some quick and easy present inspiration!

Blossom Hill White Zinfandel (187ml)

You can’t usually go wrong with a bottle of wine, and Rosé is definitely my favourite. This mini Blossom Hill White Zinfandel is just the right size for popping in a stocking, and with just enough wine to fill a large glass, the whole bottle is all yours! The wine is juicy, fruity and full of flavour and at just £1.75 (at Tesco) it’s the perfect treat if you’re looking for a little extra to add on to a gift.

Prosecco Goody Bag

Here’s another great option for any wine lover; a decent sized bottle of Prosecco with little truffles wrapped in pretty pink foil. The Prosecco Goody Bag includes a 200ml bottle of Prosecco and four Prosecco truffles, all presented inside a lovely pink and black box tied with a bow (so you don’t even have to worry about wrapping it up). I think the size is just right if you’re looking for a small gift and at just £5.00 (at Sainsbury’s) it’s excellent value for money!

Mrs Bridges Pear Drops

A vintage jar of colourful sweets is perfect for any classic gift lovers. Mrs Bridges Pear Drops are delicious and beautifully presented in a small retro sweet jar. Other old fashioned sweet flavours from Mrs Bridges include Strawberries and Cream, Rhubarb and Custard and Blueberry and Raspberry, all bundled inside the same pretty jars. At just £2.50 each, these cute jars are great value as stocking fillers. The jars could also be reused and refilled for other gifts to be passed on.

Next Alphabet Scented Candle

Next’s Alphabet Scented Candles are the perfect personalised gift. Each candle comes in a spotty or stripy black and white box and I love the jasmine fragrance that fills the room when the candle is lit. Next have a range of alphabet themed accessories such as make-up bags, jewellery dishes and mugs, which would all make lovely gifts on their own or bundled together. Like the candle, they’re all the perfect size to fit inside a stocking.

Ciaté Mini Nail Varnish in “Amazing Gracie”

Ciaté’s mini nail polishes are made for beauty lovers, and I like that the little bottles give you the chance to try out new colours without having to splash out on a large bottle of polish. The “Amazing Gracie” shade is the perfect pretty pink that will go with just about any outfit, and there are plenty of other shades to choose from in Ciaté’s range.

Leighton Denny Nail Varnish in “It’s An Honour”

This grey nail varnish from Leighton Denny is the perfect neutral and the big bottle means that it lasts a long time. Even though £12 seems a lot for a small gift like this, the quality of the nail varnish is high, the brush is easy to use and the polish stays on my nails for days without chipping, so it’s definitely worth the splurge!
