With all that’s going on at the moment, many people won’t be thinking about buying new clothes. Even with the option to order online, I’d rather wait until things are back to normal before I consider looking at anything new. Also, I’ve been trying to rewear as much as I can this year, so that’s all the more reason not to look at buying new clothes. With this in mind, I thought I’d start a series called “How I Style” on my blog. I want to make the most of my wardrobe as it is now, so I thought I’d share some of the ways I style the clothes that I already have in different ways.
It’s that time of year when the weather is very changeable and some days can still feel a bit cooler than others. I loved matching dresses with boots over the Winter and, now we’re moving into Spring, it’s nice to try this look without a coat over the top. Dresses are perfect for styling as formal or casual as you like, and I think pairing them with boots is a brilliant everyday outfit and makes the most out of your dresses.
Here, I’ve paired this paisley print shift dress from Pull&Bear with black tights and heeled boots for a slightly more dressed-up everyday outfit. I love the shape of this dress as it’s really loose and comfy and the v-neck works well with the wide skirt. These heeled boots aren’t too high and don’t hurt my feet to walk around in during the day, and I think the colour matches nicely with the colours of the paisley pattern.
For my second outfit, I restyled this check dress (which I love!) from Pull&Bear by pairing it with black tights and flat black boots. I wasn’t sure that this dress would go with black tights, but I tried it and I think it works for chillier days. As the weather gets warmer, I can’t wait to wear this dress without the tights too, as it really is a lovely, versatile piece. Again the v-neck is something I love about the dress and the puffy, three-quarter sleeves are a style that I really like.
For those not-so-warm Spring days, see if any of your dresses will match with boots so you don’t have to wait for the Summer to wear them! I’m definitely more of a dress wearer than I used to be and it helps that I’ve found different ways to style them that work for me.
