One item of clothing that I find hard to resist is a stripy t-shirt. They all look very similar, but if I see anything stripy when out shopping I’m always drawn to it. I recently took a trip to H&M, one of my favourite shops for finding a bargain. This stripy t-shirt was hung on the “£3.99” rail and, for that price, I couldn’t go wrong. It has quickly become a summer staple in my wardrobe, as could many of the other t-shirts in H&M’s basics range.
The value for money of this t-shirt is excellent, as it’s made from comfy material that’s lightweight for the summer. I think the length is perfect, as it can be tucked into jeans or worn loose without looking too long. The stripes are blue rather than black, which makes a nice alternative to the usual black and white stripes I see on lots of similar styles of t-shirt.
Here, I’ve paired the t-shirt with white jeans and Converse for a simple, everyday look. The jeans used to be my mum’s from Next in the 1980s, so I’m pretty lucky to own a pair of vintage jeans like these. I never thought white jeans would be something that suited me, but with a simple patterned t-shirt like this one, they’re now a go-to summer look.
Because of the simple design, this t-shirt can be worn with just about anything. It’s perfect for throwing on with a pair of jeans, but also works well with a denim skirt on a warmer day. I’m quite confident that stripes will never go out of fashion, so it’s a t-shirt that will always be ready to wear in the spring and summer months.
I was very surprised at how many brilliant, basic t-shirts there were in store at H&M, as well as online. All priced at just £3.99, they’re a must for any wardrobe this summer. My t-shirt can be found online here, and there are lots of other H&M basics here if you’re looking for something other than stripes. H&M has always been one of the best for affordable, good quality t-shirts and I know I’ll be checking for new designs over the coming months.
