I’m convinced that dungarees will be a fashion staple for a long time to come. If, like me, you try your best to avoid wearing jeans every day, dungarees are the perfect quirky alternative.
Dungarees are a great go-to if you’re trying to step out of your fashion comfort zone. Like jeans, you can wear them with most tops and shoes and dress them up or down depending on the occasion.
I bought these from ASOS earlier this year. At first I thought they were too big, but with a little adjusting they are now the ideal long, baggy dungarees I was looking for. I personally prefer the looser fitting look with dungarees as it means I can wear tighter fitting tops underneath as a contrast.
Here I’ve paired my dungarees with a stripy crop top from Topshop in an attempt to throw it back to the 90s (after all, I am a 90s baby). I also love to wear them with patterned shirts or baggy sweatshirts and the great thing is that they work with just about any colour! If I could, I would wear them all day, every day and they’ve become a prominent feature in my wardrobe.
At the moment I have a few pairs of dungarees; some long and some short, so I have options whatever the weather brings. If you’re looking for the perfect pair to suit you, I’d recommend taking a look on ASOS here. There are plenty of styles to choose from!
