It’s been a while since I wrote an outfit post and there’s no better season to get back into it than Spring. I love some of the trends and colours that are looking popular for the coming months. Yellow has been one of my favourite colours to wear recently, so it was no surprise that this jumper from H&M caught my eye. I’ve noticed that colour blocking with bright colours is a popular trend for Spring, so I thought I’d give it a go with this jumper.
This has to be one of the comfiest jumpers I’ve ever tried on! The material is lovely and soft whilst still being thin enough to transition into the Spring. I like that the jumper is long at the bottom as it goes nicely with leggings or skinny jeans, and the loose fit is perfect for this time of year.
Here, I’ve paired the jumper with checked leggings and yellow trainers, both from Pull&Bear. Because the jumper is all one colour, I like wearing it with patterned trousers to give a contrast to the block colour. The trainers were a sale item that I couldn’t resist and have ended up being a perfect match for my jumper.
To really embrace the colour block trend, I’d like to try wearing the jumper with different coloured trousers, but this would mean I’d have to be a bit braver and step outside my fashion comfort zone. Either way, this outfit is definitely one for a casual, daytime occasion where comfort is a must.
H&M are brilliant for finding jumpers at great prices, and there are some lovely yellow jumpers like this one on their website here. The colour block trend is one that can be experimented with without spending a fortune, and yellow is the perfect Spring colour to try it out with. Now to try and resist adding any more yellow to my wardrobe this season!
