5 Manageable Blog Goals For 2021

by notsomousybrown

There’s no doubt that 2021 is set to be an unpredictable year. Usually at the start of a new year, I set myself a long list of blog and personal goals for the year ahead. This has definitely proved to be more difficult this year, but setting blog goals is something I always like to do. I wanted to set myself manageable and achievable blog goals in 2021, and I wanted to share my 5 main goals for the year.

1 – Take photos in bulk: Last year, I found that the easiest way to keep on top of posting consistently was to bulk take photos. Whether it’s outfit photos outside or product shots indoors, I’m going to aim to take lots of photos in one go so that I have plenty of content to share. To achieve this, I’ll have to make sure I plan ahead, something which I worked on last year.

2 – Grow my Instagram: The main social media I use for my blog is Instagram, and I really want to carry on growing it. My goal is to have 2,500 followers by the end of the year, something that I definitely think is achievable. However, the most important thing is content, so I want to try and post on my story most days this year whilst also keeping the same pattern of photo content I had last year. I’ll perhaps even try a Reel or two this year as it’s something I haven’t done yet!

3 – New blog post every week: I think this goal is really manageable, especially with working full time alongside writing my blog. I’m used to posting once a week and I want to try and have a new post up every weekend this year (starting now!) I think any more than that would be too much for me to try and achieve, especially as shooting new content in the Winter is trickier.

4 – Learn more about customisation: I like my blog layout how it is, but I think there’s more I could do to make it look better. I don’t know a lot about customising a blog theme, and I really want to learn more about how I can change things around. I use the Soledad theme by PenciDesign and I know that they have a lot of information about my theme, so watching videos and reading articles should help me with this goal.

5 – Always remember why I blog: I blog because it’s something that I enjoy doing. I never intended this to be my full time job, it’s a hobby that I love! I don’t want to lose sight of this in 2021, and I just want to continue to enjoy creating content and using this little space I have on the Internet to share my thoughts.
