2 Ways To Wear Chunky Knit Cardigans

Chunky Knit Cardigans

Chunky knit cardigans are an Autumn/Winter essential in my wardrobe. They’re the perfect layering item that can work as part of different outfits. I’ve had both of the cardigans in this post for a few years now and I end up styling them in all sorts of ways every Autumn. I thought I’d share two ways I’m styling these chunky knit cardigans this year to create cosy, autumnal looks.

Chunky Knit Cardigans

For my first outfit, I wanted to style this mid-length, beige cardigan from Pull&Bear. I like this cardigan because the beige colour goes with so many different items in my wardrobe. The wide sleeves and thick knit make it really cosy on colder Autumn days, and it can be layered with coats too if it’s really cold. Here, I paired the cardigan with a dark red, logo t-shirt, also from Pull&Bear, black skinny jeans from H&M and heeled boots. My new favourite Autumn combo has to be the dark red and beige colours, and the thick cardigan means that I can wear just a t-shirt underneath it without feeling chilly.

My second chunky cardigan is from Topshop and I just love the mustard yellow colour. Yellow is one of my favourite colours to style in the Autumn as it brings a nice pop of colour to an outfit. This cardigan is even thicker than the first, so again can be styled with thinner or short-sleeved pieces underneath. Here, I wore the cardigan with a long-sleeved, floral dress from Pull&Bear, black tights and flat black boots from New Look. This is an outfit that can be worn in the daytime or in the evening with heeled boots. I also matched the outfit with a yellow handbag from Accessorize that goes perfectly with the cardigan.

There’s nothing better for layering at this time of year than a chunky cardigan and I know I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of these two over the next few months. Both Pull&Bear and Topshop have some lovely colours and styles at the moment and I’ve definitely got my eye on a few pieces!
