2 Ways To Style Long Winter Coats

Long Winter Coats

On the coldest of days, there’s nothing better than a long, warm Winter coat to wrap up in. I’ve always loved the long coat style and I think they’re the best for keeping myself warm when out on a Winter walk. If you find a good coat, it can last for years, and that’s exactly what the two coats I’ve styled in this post have done for me. I bought them a few Winters ago and they’ve served me well since, plus they’re the kind of coats that I think will never go out of fashion. I wanted to share two outfits that I created with these long Winter coats, perfect for dressing up a little more for a not so muddy Winter walk!

Long Winter Coats

For my first outfit, I chose to style this long grey coat from Pull&Bear. I’d say it’s a tighter fitting coat than most and really thick jumpers don’t quite go underneath. Still, I like the fit and it’s cosy and warm, which is the most important thing! Here, I styled the coat with a thin white jumper from Primark, blue jeans from H&M and black heeled boots, also from Pull&Bear. I often reach for my black jeans in the Winter, so I like that I could match the coat with blue jeans instead for this outfit. Whilst the jumper underneath is thin, it tucks in nicely, and the grey coat is thick enough to keep out the cold! I think a hat, scarf and gloves would work well with this too to make the outfit even more cosy.

Long Winter Coats

My second outfit is a coat with a slightly different fit to the first, as it’s a lot more roomy and means different items can be worn underneath. This long coat is from Zara and was an investment piece that I hope will last me for many years. The coat is a lot thicker than it looks and really does keep out the cold, whilst also allowing layers and knitwear to be worn underneath. Here, I styled the coat with a floral, long sleeve dress from Pull&Bear, black tights and black heeled boots. Even though the dress creates a bit of a pattern and colour clash, it somehow works with this coat for a more dressed up, Winter look. If it’s really cold, a cardigan goes fine under the coat as well, so it really does work well if I need to layer up.

Both Pull&Bear and Zara have lots of lovely long Winter coats this season, and I’d definitely recommend a visit to both websites if you’re looking for the perfect long coat. Whilst these kinds of coats can be a more expensive item to buy, they really do last years and I know that I won’t be needing a new one any time soon!
